Agri-NorMin showcases local agri products at KUMBIRA 2025

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — Aiming to promote Northern Mindanao’s agricultural products and enhance linkages with the food and hospitality sector, the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 10 (DA-10) takes part in KUMBIRA 2025: A Feast of Flavors and Heritage, held from October 15 to 17 at the Atrium, Lim Ketkai Center, this city.

Organized annually by the Cagayan de Oro Hotel and Restaurant Association (COHARA), KUMBIRA is among the country’s long-running culinary and hospitality events, bringing together chefs, restaurateurs, food entrepreneurs, and industry partners to showcase local gastronomy and heritage.

As part of its participation, DA-10 mounts an agri-exhibit displaying fresh and processed products from its partner Farmers’ Cooperatives, Associations (FCAs), as well as Young Farmers Challenge (YFC) awardees.

Among the featured goods are locally produced coffee, wine, coconut juice, kale, lettuce, and lutya chips, underscoring the diversity of agri-based enterprises across the region.

The exhibit aims serves as a platform to showcase Northern Mindanao’s agricultural goods, strengthen market linkages, and support local agripreneurs in reaching broader markets.

By taking part in KUMBIRA 2025, the department continues to build partnerships between the agriculture and hospitality sectors in promoting food innovation and expanding market access for local agri-producers. Its participation in the event is part of the agency’s ongoing commitment to advancing the region’s agri-food industry and highlighting its agricultural potential. # (EJLG)
