NorMin delegates grace 18th National Corn Congress

 

SOUTH COTABATO — Some 70 Northern Mindanao delegates comprising representatives from 18 farmers’ cooperatives and associations (FCAs), Regional Agricultural and Fishery Council (RAFC) and the Department of Agriculture – Region 10 (DA-10) personnel participated in the 18th Philippine National Corn Congress-Mindanao, held on October 13-16 in Koronadal, here.

The event, themed “Magkauban sa Paglambo sa Moderno at Mauswagong Maisan”, emphasized the need for collective efforts to modernize and elevate the corn farming sector in the region.

This year’s congress highlighted the critical role of the FCAs in fostering a more inclusive and sustainable agricultural economy.

It also provides the platform to showcase the diverse value-added corn products in NorMin that cater to both local and global markets.#
