Aggie NorMin eyes CSC’s PRIME-HRM recognition
Cagayan de Oro City – Parallel to its commitment to provide top-notch agricultural services for the farming communities in the region, the Department of Agriculture – Northern Mindanao Field Office (Aggie NorMin) holds its workforce capacitation and development on the same scale.
To ensure its standard human resource services, the DA-NorMin through its Human Resource Management Section (HRMS) is gearing up to its compliance with the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM).
As preparatory step, the DA-NorMin HRMS convened on October 7, the composite members of the agency’s human resource committees – the Human Resource Merit Promotion and Selection Board (HRMPSB), Human Resource Development Committee (HRDC), Performance Management Team (PMT) and the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) Committee, for an orientation on the PRIME-HRM technical assistance of the CSC.
Atty. Rowena G. Gingo, Director II and chief of the CSC Misamis Oriental Field Office, reapprised the DA-NorMin human resource committee members on the procedure and requirements for the PRIME-HRM compliance assessment.
The orientation is geared toward the crafting of an action plan to streamline the DA-NorMin human resource programs and activities as required for the second level PRIME-HRM maturity, characterized by defined and documented standard operating procedures and basic automation of HRM data.
The PRIME-HRM advocates people-centric human resource management in the government as a dynamic and proactive approach to enhance public service.
This initiative is relevant in scaling up the DA-NorMin’s manpower capacity to serve the agriculture sector in the region.
