4 NorMin farmer coop conferred DA-10’s CSO accreditation

 

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 10 (DA-10) issued certificate of accreditation to four farmer cooperatives in Northern Mindanao, recognizing them as Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) earlier today, October 24, at the agency compound, this city.

The newly accredited farmer-groups include the Lambo Bayanihan Consumers Cooperative (LBCC) based in Barangay Kulasihan, Kolambugan, Lanao del Norte; the Pantaon Bangsamoro Farmers Agriculture Cooperative in Barangay Pantaon, Poona Piagapo, Lanao del Norte; the Mabunga, Imbatug, Salimbalan District (MISAD) Multi-purpose Cooperative of Barangay Salimbalan, Baungon, Bukidnon; and the Kauyagan Savers Multi-purpose Cooperative (KSMPC) from Barangay Poblacion, Impasugong, Bukidnon.

The accreditation affirms their compliance with the requirements set under DA Administrative Circular No. 3, Series of 2022, which governs the participation of CSOs as implementing partners in the DA’s programs and projects.

Through this recognition, the cooperatives are now eligible to collaborate with the DA in implementing agricultural initiatives that promote enterprise development, improve agricultural productivity, and enhance the livelihood of farmers in their respective communities.

This initiative echoed the government’s push to strengthen public-private partnership in promoting proactive and inclusive development at the community level.# (EJLG)
