Aggie-10 urges farmers and fishers, agri-fishery enterprises to register in FFEDIS
Maramag, Bukidnon – The Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 10 (DA-10) is urging farmers and fisherfolk enterprises (FFEs) and agri-fishery enterprises (AFEs) in Bukidnon to enroll in the Farmers and Fisherfolk Enterprise Development Information System (FFEDIS) to gain better access to government support, market linkages, and financing programs.
The call forms part of the agency’s intensified efforts to bolster enterprise development and expand economic opportunities for organized producers groups in the region.

FFEDIS, created under Republic Act 11321, or otherwise known as the Sagip Saka Act, is a web-based registry designed to help government documentation, planning, reporting, and processing in extending agri-fishery enterprise-related interventions of the DA. It also empowers producer groups, the private sector, local government units, and potential donors to address the needs of local and global markets and to pool resources for further enterprise development.
On February 20 here, the agency, through its Agribusiness Industry Support Section (AISS), in collaboration with the Local Government of Maramag through its Municipal Agriculture Office, apprised around 20 participants – four FFEs and 16 AFEs – from barangays South Poblacion, Base Camp, North Poblacion, Dologon, Colambugon, Kisanday, and Panadtalan-on of the registration process and the benefits of enrolling into the system.
Both Project Assistant I Shalin Kae B. Sarmiento and Mark Jovani O. Salili presented the step-by-step registration procedure and answered participants’ concerns during the activity.
Interested FFEs and AFEs may register at the FFEDIS Registration Desk at the department’s agribiz arm, the Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD), or through the official portal at ffedis.da.gov.ph. Documentary requirements include an accomplished FFEDIS enrollment form, a valid business permit, and applicable certificate of registration from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), or the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA).
Following site validation of the enterprise and verification of submitted documents, the AISS will prepare and endorse the FFEDIS Certificate of Registration for approval by the agency head. Once approved, the enterprise will be encoded into the FFEDIS database, and a Certificate of Registration will be issued.
Registered enterprises may access various support services, including market linkage facilitation with Agribusiness Development and KADIWA partner suppliers, loan assistance from the Agricultural Credit Policy Council’s Agri Negosyo Loan Program, grant opportunities under the Young Farmers Challenge (Upscaling), and support from the DA’s special project, the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP). They may also benefit from social media promotion, inclusion in digital and printed enterprise directories, and referrals to prospective buyers and sellers.
To date, Region 10 has recorded 591 approved FFEDIS registrations, including eight enterprises from Maramag town.# (JLO/Photos Supplied)
