NorMin farm, fishery products take center stage at agri trade fair

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITYᅳ Farm and fishery products from across Northern Mindanao took center stage in the Regional Agri Trade Fair organized by the Department of Agriculture-Region 10 (DA-10) on September 18-20 at the Mall Atrium, Main Mall, SM City CDO Uptown.

A total of 58 exhibitors are participating in the three-day fair, offering mallgoers fresh fruits, vegetables, spices, fish, poultry and meat, as well as processed and value-added food products.

Other products available at the booths include Filipino condiments, delicacies, snacks, fruit tree seedlings, and daily needs like coffee and rice.

The agri trade fair provides direct retail platforms for farmers, fisherfolk and agriprenuers, especially for the young farmers and fishers to promote their products.

The DA-10 Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD) also facilitated business-to-business matching to connect local farmers and fishers with potential buyers and partners.

In line with the Masaganang Bagong Pilipinas vision, the DA-10 continues to capacitate the region’s agriculture stakeholders to expand their network across the whole agricultural value chain. # (ATT)
