Geared towards promoting urban gardening amid the ongoing pandemic, the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 10 (DA-RFO 10) gives vegetable seeds to, SupportZebra, a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company on July 15, 2020. Regional Technical Director for Operations Carlota S. Madriaga handed the 300 pieces of 5-in-1 pinakbet vegetable seeds to Assistant Administrative Manager Lucille L. Jamero, who was grateful to DA’s initiative. “Since most of our employees are staying at home, we will encourage them to plant vegetables to relieve their stress and become more productive. It would be beneficial to them with the availability of food to support to their families during this crisis,” she detailed. Jamero added, they will be launching an urban gardening contest among their employees to further encourage them to plant. Meanwhile, RTD Madriaga said that through DA’s Plant, Plant, Plant Program, the agency has already given out a total of 22,308 packets or 833.892 kilograms of vegetable seeds to local government offices, various associations and walk-in-clients as of July 11, 2020. # (AMBManto) |
