As part the bank’s 59th anniversary celebration, its branches in CdeO open its grounds for the conduct of the Kadiwa, where farmer-producers can directly sell their agri-fishery products at affordable prices to consumers.
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD) of the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 10 (DA-RFO 10) in partnership with Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) launched its three-day Kadiwa ni Ani at Kita activity on August 8, 2022, this city.
In celebration of their 59th anniversary dubbed as Taboan sa Katawhan: “Abot sa Uma, Puno sa Gugma”, the bank opened its grounds at its Velez and Pacana street branches, bringing different farmers and fisherfolk-exhibitors for the conduct of the Kadiwa.
According to DA-10 Regional Technical Director for Operations Carlota S. Madriaga, the program is a direct marketing scheme of DA where farmer- and fisher-producers are directly linked with the consuming public, making agri-fishery products and other food commodities, available at reasonable prices through accessible Kadiwa retail stores in strategic locations.
LBP is DA’s partner in agricultural development, which aims to empower farmers and fisherfolk by extending financial services to increase their productivity and income.
Among the products on sale includes assorted lowland and highland vegetables, sweet corn, fruits, rootcrops, native chicken, spices, and other native delicacies.
Also present in the activity is DA-10 Officer-in-Charge-RTD for Research and Regulations Audy G. Maagad together with the agribiz staff of DA. # (RDMElloren)
