DA-10 provides P150K worth of hybrid yellow corn seeds to some active members of a corn cluster from Lantapan, Bukidnon.

 

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Some active members of a corn cluster from Lantapan, Bukidnon received 30 bags of hybrid yellow corn seeds valued at P150K from the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 10 through its Corn Program on August 8, 2022.

Said recipients came from the Bugcaon Kulasihan Manupali Irrigators Association, Cooperatiba sa Pobreng Mag-uuma, both from barangay Bugcaon; and Bantuanon Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries of barangay Bantuanon of said town.

The distribution was facilitated by the Local Government of Lantapan through its municipal agriculture’s office headed by Neptali C. Ambos and Zaldy K. Dangilan, Jr., municipal corn coordinator.

Each bag at 9 kilograms can be planted to a half hectare of land, with a projected average yield of 6-7 metric tons (MT/ha) per hectare or can go as high as 8-9 MT/ha with adequate application of inputs. # (JLO/Photo credits: MAO Lantapan)
