For two years in a row, the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 10 (DA-RFO 10) was conferred the Amihanan Awards by the Regional Development Council-Northern Mindanao (RDC-10), as the agency is hailed as an Outstanding Member of the council this year.
DA-RFO 10 OIC-Regional Executive Director Carlene C. Collado received the award during the 132nd RDC-X Full Council Meeting and RDC Xcellence Awarding Ceremony hosted by Governor Imelda Q. Dimaporo, the incumbent RDC-10 Chairwoman, at the Lanao del Norte Provincial Capitol, Tuesday, December 13, 2022.
The Amihanan Awards recognizes government agencies who rendered outstanding service to the people of Northern Mindanao through the implementation of breakthrough initiatives for improved government systems, processes, and service delivery.
“This award epitomized the unrelenting commitment and dedication of the DA-RFO 10 personnel in serving our farmers in the region. Amidst the challenges faced by the agriculture sector, local or global in nature, we stand by our mandate to champion the welfare of our unsung heroes, the farmers,” Dir. Collado remarked.
With the theme “RDC: Leading the path towards economic transformation for prosperous, inclusive and resilient society”, RDC-10 also recognizes the contribution of the private sector, and individual and organizational volunteers towards the attainment of the council’s mandated functions to propel the region’s economic growth.
This year’s Amihanan Awards marks the golden jubilee creation of the RDC.# (ATalib)
