Aggie dept in NorMin participates in the conduct of Information and Services Caravan in Lagonglong, Misamis Oriental.

 

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Aiming to bring the government closer to the people, the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 10 (DA-RFO 10) joins the Information and Services Caravan in Sitio Curnao, Barangay Umagos, Lagonglong, Misamis Oriental on February 24, 2023.

Headed by the 58th Infantry Battalion (58IB), Philippine Army in collaboration with the Regional Association for Government Communicators-Northern Mindanao (RAGCOM-NM), the activity was attended by different government agencies and private stakeholders to bring the different programs and services to the community, which are families of former rebels in its advocacy to sustain the whole-of-nation approach to peace and development.

DA-10 through OIC-Regional Executive Director Carlene C. Collado provided 30 packets of 5-in-1 Sinigang Mix (Pole Sitao, Radish, Tomato, Okra and Kangkong) vegetable seeds and 15 bags of hybrid corn seeds.

Lagonglong 4H club president Elejane O. Maestrado shared that they have been advocating and practicing backyard gardening since 2018 said, “The seeds from DA are very beneficial to us since we have an agricultural area. Given our area condition, isolated and can only be accessed by foot or by horse, we would instead grow and eat our own food.” # (AMBManto)
