DA-10 turns over fruit-bearing tree seedlings and assorted vegetable seeds to the army. 

 

MALAYBALAY CITY, BUKIDNON – The Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 10 (DA-RFO 10) through OIC – Regional Executive Director Carlene C. Collado, granted the 4th Division (Mentor) Training School, 4th Infantry Division (4ID), Philippine Army (PA) various fruit-bearing tree seedlings and packets of pinakbet seeds.

Funded under the High Value Crops Development Program of DA-10, NMACLRC chief Carmelito R. Lapoot officially turned over 50 packets of pinakbet vegetable seeds and 100 seedlings of mangosteen, rambutan, and cacao to Lieutenant Colonel Annalyn Pahunang, Assistant Commandant of the 4th Division Training School, 4ID, PA at the Northern Mindanao Agricultural Crops and Livestock Research Complex (NMACLRC) in Dalwangan, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.

According to LTC Pahunang, said activity is in commemoration of the 126th founding anniversary of the PA, which aims of raising “one million fruit-bearing trees” by the end of June 2028.

The partnership between DA and PA is in support of the national government’s two-fold effort to address the nation’s food security and environmental protection agenda. #(RDMElloren)
