DA-10 convenes in a meeting with DA-CO budget officers for its budget proposal for the ongoing construction of its main office building in El Salvador, Misamis Oriental.
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 10 (DA-RFO 10) helmed by OIC-Regional Executive Director Carlene C. Collado, conducts a meeting and site visit on the preparation of the FY 2024 plan and budget proposal for the ongoing construction of the DA-10 main office building in El Salvador, Misamis Oriental.
Eyeing to continue and complete the construction of the three-storey building located at Brgy. Poblacion, engineers from the Regional Agricultural Engineering Division, planning and budget officers of DA and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in the region, met with the DA-Central Office (CO) budget officers to tackle the variation order and re-programmed Program of Works for the future DA-10 building.
Regional Technical Director for Research and Regulations, Cora A. Dumayaca said the coordination meeting discussed the proposal for the budget to be included in the FY 2024 plan and budget to be lobbied by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM).
Engr. Deliza T. Camaro, RAED chief of DA-10 reported the required budget for the electrical and mechanical works of the building per the recommendation of the Planning and Design Division and Construction Division of the Department of Public Works and Highways-10 (DPWH-10), the implementing agency of said construction project.
As agreed during the meeting, the DA-CO represented by Nelda Cabason and Joey Andrew Albos advised the region to refine part of its plan before finalization and submission of the final proposal of DA-10 of its plans and budget to be included for FY 2024.
Likewise, documentation of the existing DA-RFO-10 compound housed in the city of Cagayan de Oro, will also be forwarded to DA-CO, for consideration in the evaluation.
Ensuing the meeting at the DA-10 Compound in CdeO City, the body visited the site in El Salvador City to inspect and evaluate the improvements of the ongoing DA-main office building.# (RLTolentino)
