DA Senior USec. Panganiban urges R-10 RNC to work as “one DA”.

 

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – In his first meeting with the DA-Northern Mindanao Regional Management Committee (DA-NorMin RMC) Tuesday, March 21, in this city, DA Senior Undersecretary Domingo F. Panganiban told management of the DA-RFO 10 and the DA-attached line agencies, bureaus and corporations to work as “OneDA” to bolster the region’s agri-fishery development.

He further stressed for the DA instrumentalities to co-utilize and share among themselves the DA resources to successfully carry out their respective mandates.

For his part, DA-10 OIC-Regional Executive Director Carlene C. Collado emphasized that the RMC has been concertedly working particularly in coordinating the implementation of agri-fishery projects to Local Chief Executives in the region.

In the meeting the RMC member agencies also shared their concerns, seeking the executive’s guidance and advice on matters concerning their operations.

Appropriate resolutions to the raised concerns were pinpointed upon recommendation of the DA executive.

Panganiban thanked the DA-NorMin RMC for their service and urged them to hold onto their mandated functions as the government is focusing its thrust on the agriculture sector.

DA-RFO 10 Regional Technical Director for Operations Carlota S. Madriaga, and Regional Technical Director for Research and Regulations, Cora A. Dumayaca along with chiefs of the different DA-RFO 10 divisions were also present in the meeting.#(ATalib)
