DAWEA opens bazaar in observance of Women’s Month celebration this March.

 

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – In support of the Women’s Month Celebration this March, the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 10 (DA-RFO 10) through its Women’s Employees Association (DAWEA) launches the women’s bazaar and flea market at the agency compound, on March 27, 2023, which will run until March 28.

DA-10 OIC-Regional Executive Director Carlene C. Collado said that, the recurring theme, “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society”, the agency is one in striving to involve women and everyone to push for gender-responsive programs and services that will enable women to make a positive contribution to the development of the country.

A total of 13 exhibitors showcased their products, namely: Baker’s Touch, Tres Marias, MommaReg, Spring Up Shop, Shaireen Resto, Bibs by Elerie, Maru’s Closet & EJ Treats, R&R Ukay-Ukay Shoes, Bayong made from Sumilao, Bukidnon, Kids at Heart, Inc., DA-10 Tindahan sa Regional Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (RADDL), Feed Chemical Analysis Laboratory (FCAL), and Tienda Juana by the Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD).

DAWEA-10 President Razel Elaine Grace P. Cataluña said the activity aims to support the entrepreneurial endeavors primarily of women, emphasizing their role and contributions to economic activities.

A zumba session and an entrepreneurship talk by Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Senior Trade Industry Development Specialist and Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Person Greenly Batucan were also conducted to DA-10 employees, encouraging them to engage in physical fitness and entrepreneurial activities, respectively.#(MPMTablon)
