DA-10 hands over the P8-M check to LGU Kauswagan for the conduct of the 6th OA Asia Congress.

 

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — The Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 10 (DA-RFO 10) through OIC-Regional Executive Director Carlene C. Collado turned over a check amounting to P8 million (M) to the Local Government of Kauswagan, Lanao del Norte on March 29, 2023 at the agency compound, in this city.

On behalf of Mayor Rommel C. Arnado, Municipal Treasurer Ruel C. Armodia and Municipal Accountant Jerry C. Gidaya received the said check in support of the incoming international activity which will be hosted by LGU Kauswagan.

The said amount will be used for the conduct of the sixth Organic Agriculture Asia Congress slated on June 5 to 10, 2023, which aims to foster awareness of organic agriculture among policymakers, the academe, and other stakeholders.

The department’s assistance is part of its commitment to achieving food security through the implementation of organic agriculture.

It also aims to showcase research findings as well as produce and products on organic agriculture.
