DA-10 exec Collado tackles the agency’s prio programs to MinDA personnel.
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — As the department pursues to strengthen partnerships with agencies committed to the socio-economic development in Mindanao, the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office (DA- RFO10) thru OIC-Regional Executive Director Carlene C. Collado, discussed the department’s priority programs with personnel from the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) at the agency compound.
Supporting MinDA’s development efforts for Mindanao, Dir. Collado briefed the MinDA team (Karl Maquiling, Jaydeen Nabua, Patricia Poñgol, and Abel Tolentino III) on DA’s various agricultural interventions from its banner programs, such as Rice, Corn, High Value Crops Development, Livestock, and Organic Agriculture programs.
Further, assistance for Farm-to-Market Roads Development Program (FMRDP), Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD), Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD), Kabuhayan at Kaunlaran ng Kababayang Katutubo (4Ks), Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-asa (BP2), and the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) were also tackled.
As MinDA continues to collaborate with agencies in preparation for their investment program and budget advocacy, RED Collado applauds their initiatives in aligning them to the department’s mandate.
For this, he encourages the allocation of the budget for agri interventions that aim at poverty alleviation through promoting farming and fisheries in Mindanao. # (RLTolentino)
