DA-PRDP orients another batch of MLGUs on the Project’s scale-up

TUBOD, Lanao del Norte – In preparation for the full implementation of the PRDP scale-up this year, the Department of Agriculture – Philippine Rural Development Project 10 (DA-PRDP 10) prepared another set of Municipal Local Government Units (MLGUs) in Lanao del Norte (LDN) through project orientation.

The orientation focuses on the updated guidelines and framework, and at the same time tackles the documentary requirements needed for the subproject proposals.

Attendees at the orientation are PLGU LDN and the MLGUs of Tubod, Kapatagan, Lala, Baroy, Tagoloan, Kauswagan, and Munai.

Engr. Marietta Borillo, LDN Provincial Engineer & IBUILD head encouraged the participants to be more attentive and focus on the opportunities the project can offer.

She also extended her gratitude to the PRDP RPCO 10 for coming over to the province to brief the MLGUs.

On the other hand, DA-10 OIC-Regional Executive Director and DA-PRDP 10 Project Director Carlene C. Collado emphasized that the RPCO is ready to accept full-blown project proposals from interested proponents, however, given utmost priority is the LGU who have not yet availed of the PRDP project.

Further, he emphasized that the office is willing to assist interested LGUs in the preparation of the documentary requirements supporting their proposals.

Submitted project proposals will undergo a series of reviews to ensure the completeness of the documents prior to the Regional Project Advisory Board (RPAB) review and approval.

The PRDP scale-up will help address gaps in the value chain and improve the efficiency of the food supply chain. #
