DA-10 through its Administrative Division spearheads an orientation cum consultation for the OJT program coordinators and on-site supervisors to ensure conductive learning for OJT students during their stay with the agency.

 

MALAYBALAY CITY, BUKIDNON – To have a springboard for students to learn theories, principles, and ideas from education to employment environment, the Department of Agriculture – Northern Mindanao through Regional Executive Director Carlene C. Collado, recently spearheaded an orientation cum consultation for the On-the-Job (OJT) program coordinators and on-site supervisors in Dalwangan, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.

Spearheaded by the Human Resources Management Section of the Administrative and Finance Division (AFD), said activity is staged for a smooth implementation and monitoring of OJTs’ work experience relevant to their courses, in the hopes of enhancing students’ technical knowledge, skills and attitude towards work necessary for satisfactory job performance.

Tackled during the meeting are the admission requirements, program process flow, and the monitoring and evaluation of OJT students, at the same time the OJT qualifications of the different divisions of the agri department can accommodate, and the proposed deliverables from the OJT students during their stint with the agency.

Capping the activity, AFD chief Patrick Ian F. Pedarse lauded the representatives from the different senior high schools, universities and colleges, for molding young minds and pinned his hopes that some of them will pursue a career in agriculture or be involved in advancing said industry.

More than 30 OJT program coordinators and on-site supervisors from the educational institutions and DA-10 graced the orientation-consultation. # (JLO)
