Agri-10 joins Oro’s observance of its charter day.

 

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – In celebration of the 73rd charter day of Cagayan de Oro City, the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 10 (DA-RFO 10) under the helm of Regional Executive Director Carlene C. Collado, joined one of its partners for agri-fishery development on their founding anniversary on June 15, 2023, at the Aquilino Q. Pimentel, Jr. International Convention Center in Barangay Indahag, this city.

Supporting the event from DA-10 were Regional Technical Director for Operations Carlota S. Madriaga and RTD for Research and Regulations Cora A. Dumayaca, Field Operations Division chief Luz I. Guzman, PhD, Administrative and Finance Division chief Patrick Ian F. Pedarse, and Joel S. Rudinas, Executive Assistant III.

With the agri department and the city’s common goal to modernize its agricultural and fisheries operations, CdeO Mayor Rolando A. Uy extended his heartfelt gratitude to all participants who supported the said event.

In his state of the city address, Mayor Uy conveyed his method in the implementation of programs and projects that values total agricultural production, thus maximizing efforts to protect the remaining agricultural lands and available bodies of water in order to improve the livelihood and income of farmers and fisherfolk through the formalization of agro-enterprises.

“Tagaan nato og prayoridad ang pagpadayon sa paglambo sa mga patigayon sa dakbayan, ang pagbarog balik sa mga patigayon nga na apektuhan sa pandemya ug ang paghatag ug disente nga trabaho sa tanan nga gusto maningkamot nga molambo sa natad sa agrikultura, sa industriya ug mga pabrika, sa tourismo, komersyo ug uban nga natad sa serbisyo.” he said.
