Agri-10 provides seeds in support for Cabanglasan town’s resettlement project.
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — Aligned with its efforts to ensure food sufficiency in the region, the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 10 (DA-RFO 10) through Regional Executive Director Carlene C. Collado continues to partner with the National Housing Authority – Region 10 Program Office (NHA-10) for the provision of vegetable seeds to communities in Northern Mindanao.
A total of 50 packets of vegetable (pinakbet and chopsuey) seeds were turned over by DA-10 Executive Assistant III Joel S. Rudinas and High Value Crops Development Program focal person Kersten S. Pagalan to NHA-10 Community Relations Officer Kent Wilson M. Sususco at the agency compound, in this city.
The recipients of the said provisions are beneficiaries of NHA-10’s housing resettlement project in Cabanglasan, as well as Indigenous People communities in the area.
Sususco said that through this assistance, residents will be able to grow their own food through urban gardening, promote self-sufficiency, and foster reliable and sustainable food production within the relocation site.# (GDAndres)
