As observance of the OA month, organic farming practitioners showcase their organic and naturally grown harvest and products during the 7th Regional Organic Agriculture Congress.

 

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Some organic agriculture practitioners from Bukidnon and Misamis Oriental provinces gathered last November 6-7 to feature their organic and naturally grown harvest and products during the 7th Regional Organic Agriculture Congress.

Said activity coincides with the observance of National Organic Agriculture Month per Presidential Proclamation 1030 issued on May 21, 2015 declaring the month of November as Organic Agriculture Month.

The celebration underscores the importance of organic agriculture as an alternative farming system that ensures environmental preservation and health protection of farmers, consumers, and the public. # (JLO)
