Agri-10 holds stakeholders’ consultation on eKADIWA digital marketing platform

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 10 (DA-10) conducted a stakeholders’ consultation on the eKADIWA Digital Marketing Platform. The event was spearheaded by the Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD) in collaboration with its Information and Communications Technology (DA-ICT) consultant, local government units (LGUs), cooperatives, and other partners on July 8, here.

The eKADIWA platform is designed to empower farmers and fisherfolk through digital means by offering an online marketplace that supports product listing, ordering, delivery, and payment transactions. It also enables direct access to markets, broadens the reach of local producers to more consumers, and promotes agri-fishery products with greater efficiency and transparency.

DA-10 Regional Executive Director Jose Apollo Y. Pacamalan stressed the importance of collaboration to expand the digital marketing network.

“We envision a stronger KADIWA network through digitalization, but we cannot do this alone. We invite you, our partners, to join us in expanding our digital marketing platform – not just to buy and sell, but to help us reach more communities,” the agri exec said.

He further added: “Together, we will keep improving the system, learning from feedback, and building a sustainable, efficient marketplace that uplifts every stakeholder in the value chain.”

For her part, Helen M. Roldan, Agriculturist II of AMAD, noted that the consultation also served as the official onboarding for future off-takers of the platform, preparing them to ensure smooth operations and to help connect farmers’ fresh produce directly to buyers.

With this digital push, DA-10 is amping up its efforts toward modernizing the agricultural supply chain in the region, bridging the gap between producers and consumers, making it easier to match supply with demand.# (NQA)
