Aggie-10 convenes planning workshop for FY 2026 budget implementation
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – To help transform Northern Mindanao’s agricultural sector, the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 10 (DA-10) brought together local leaders and stakeholders for a two-day planning workshop focused on setting clear and actionable steps to guide budget implementation for FY 2026 and beyond on July 10 to 11, here.
The activity aimed to engage stakeholders in capacity building, clarify roles for better coordination, and utilize accurate digital data for targeted planning. Key priorities identified include strengthening digital marketing systems, improving delivery and fulfillment processes, and investing in needed infrastructure to boost farmer incomes and promote food security.
DA-10 Regional Executive Director Jose Apollo Y. Pacamalan highlighted the need for strong collaboration and alignment.
“We need to make sure that all our plans —from the province down to every local government units—are clear, realistic, and aligned with our Provincial Agriculture and Fishery Investment and Development Plan.”
He further added: “This time, let’s define our direction and work as one for agriculture. We must maximize resources, align our targets, and build strong information systems to change our agricultural landscape.”
Participants also discussed using tools such as satellite imaging, drone mapping, and digital marketing platforms to better match production with market demand, minimize waste, and ensure that support reaches the intended beneficiaries.
Spearheaded by Provincial Operations Center chief for Misamis Oriental and Camiguin, Wilson V. Lagdamin, the workshop sets the tone for the DA-10 and its partners to crafting practical action plans that will optimize resources and contribute to resilient, sustainable growth for the region’s agriculture sector.# (NQA)
